So, are you addicted to your phone?

Here's 3 signs that you might be:

You check it constantly – even with no notifications.

If you're picking it up out of habit, not necessity, that's a red flag.

It’s the first thing you see in the morning and the last at night.
Using your phone before bed can disrupt sleep and increase stress.

You find it hard to be fully present with others.
Constant screen time can affect relationships and contribute to feelings of loneliness.

 

The good news? You’re not alone.
Phone overuse is incredibly common, and it’s something that can be changed with a few simple tweaks.

 

Here are 3 easy ways to start cutting down:

✅ Set app limits.
Use built-in features like Screen Time (iPhone) or Digital Wellbeing (Android) to cap how long you spend on social apps each day.

✅ Create phone-free zones.
Try keeping your phone out of the bedroom or off the table during meals. Small boundaries go a long way.

✅ Schedule “offline” time.
Start with 30 minutes a day with no phone – read a book, go for a walk, or just sit with your own thoughts. It gets easier with practice!

 

With phones now playing an important role in our day-to-day lives, its important to know how to use them without them taking over. By using the steps above you'll start to feel more in control and less like a passenger.
